Surdex Corporation Unpublished Material raster digital data Surdex Corporation was contracted by a consortium of eleven Counties (Attala, Bolivar, Holmes, Leake, Leflore, Marshall, Panola, Sunflower, Tippah, Tishomingo and Union) within Northern Mississippi (MS-2015) to capture approximately 7,223 square miles of countywide digital aerial imagery with 12-inch pixel resolution and 6-inch pixel resolution of cities, towns and populated areas within the counties. The eleven counties have a common need for professional services in updating GIS products used in the assessment of taxable properties. The 6-inch imagery was to be acquired at ~6150' above ground level (agl) and the 12-inch was acquired at ~12300' agl with the Leica ADS100 sensor to create 4-band Orthophotography. Due to unfavorable weather and ground conditions, only 12-inch resolution countywide imagery was acquired for five (Bolivar, Marshall, Tippah, Tishomingo and Union) of the eleven counties before the leaf-off season closed. The 12-inch resolution imagery for the five counties was acquired on March 30 and April 04, 2015. None of the 6-inch resolution imagery was acquired. The orthophotography is delivered in tif/tfw tiles and MrSID mosaics by counties in the requested 5000' x 5000' tiles utilizing the United States National Grid tile labeling format. The counties are projected to their respective NAD83 (2011) State Plane Coordinate System East or West Zone, in US Feet.
